What began as a simple classroom initiative under the guidance of our Visual Storytelling lecturer has grown into a movement with purpose and vision. Born out of curiosity, creativity, and the shared dream of young broadcast journalism students, our group—once known as Shienga Visual Storytelling—has now evolved into Fix Africa Incorporated.

It all started with a small but determined team of eight student storytellers, bound by passion for writing, photography, and visual narration. With our cameras, pens, and fresh ideas, we began documenting little stories around us, posting them on Blogger and Instagram, learning as we grew.

Today, though our active contributor team stands at four, our fire burns stronger than ever. Through our platforms on Blogger and Instagram, we continue to capture, write, and share stories that inspire and provoke thought.

Our renewed focus is clear and purposeful—telling authentic African stories that touch on issues of sanitation, water management, environmental protection, agriculture, internal trade and market restructuring, mining regulations, socio-economic development, good governance, and Pan-Africanism. We aim to create content that not only informs but also drives positive change within our communities.

Like any journey worth taking, ours hasn’t been without challenges. Balancing academic life with creative projects tested our commitment last year. Yet, those pauses have only strengthened our resolve. If anything, it gave us time to rethink, regroup, and rediscover why we started.

As we step into a new phase, we’re reigniting our passion, sharpening our craft, and preparing to steamroll ahead—creating impactful, relevant, and distinctly African stories for the world to see.

We’re charting a new direction focused on issues that truly matter to the development of our continent.

For you our readers and followers, we started this journey under your watchful eyes and support. We couldn't be more honored and proud to serve you with the best of stories and contents in the upcoming years.

Fix Africa Incorporated — the African voice for continental socio-economic change and impact.
